ROADMAPS

Roadmaps is a big game with small game appeal. RM has a wide variety of 60+ distinct, active characters. Because of this, there’s someone for every character to interact with and each character has a special role in game. To prevent this amount of characters from becoming too overwhelming, players are divided into groups which makes threading easier and prevents characters from interacting with the same characters. In those groups, players get to develop their own plots after game wide brainstorming. While the game’s well established having started in December, the plot's arranged so new characters can jump in without feeling left behind or like they have to catch up on everything that's happened in game.

The cast is brilliant. In character, it's obvious everyone's put a lot of time into cultivating the people they play. Every character has a distinct voice and canon characters are extremely true to their canon selves, regardless of the changes the game has made to their plot. Original characters are fascinating and well-developed. Relationships and friendships form where they might not have been expected, giving the game potential for characters both clashing and coming together. Out of character, everyone's easy to talk to, doesn't take themselves too seriously (with a great sense of humor to boot), are the most welcoming people in the world, and never fail to be enthusiastic.

WANTED: Marlene McKinnon, Bellatrix Lestrange, Arthur Weasley, Hestia Jones, Augusta Longbottom, Xenophilius Lovegood, Minerva McGonagall, Emmeline Vance, Avery Sr., Avery Jr., Borgin, Crabbe, Goyle, Jugson, Walden Macnair Mulciber Jr., Mulciber Sr., Rosier Sr., Thorfinn Rowle, Yaxley, Horace Slughorn, John Dawlish, Elphias Doge, Albus Dumbledore, Mundungus Fletcher, Rubeus Hagrid, Alastor Gumboil, Sturgis Podmore, Proudfoot, Gawain Robards, Williamson, Dolores Umbridge

Welcome to Silent Night
June 2006 - catastrophe strikes. The world's been quiet for so long - Voldemort is gone and gone for good. Life was moving on, people settling down and having families. Then one day - a dozen people fall ill. A week later over three hundred are sick and the first dozen are dying. Six months later a large chunk of both wizarding and muggle populations are dead, the few that survive in London and Scotland are banding together.

A healer discovers the cure - unicorn blood, basilisk venom and some other mundane items - but she can't bring herself to kill any more unicorns than necessary. Soon after she creates the antidote, she kills herself in shame and the Ministry, the surviving members anyways, ban the slaughter of the unicorn. Unicorns - who can bring themselves to kill one? Especially now that the Ministry has banned it. Not even the coldest hearted Death Eater could take the life of such an innocent creature.

People are asked to gather at Hogwarts and in Hogsmeade where wards are set up to protect people from the Virus. People don't like it, but the few who try to leave - fall ill and with only a tiny store of antidote left - they die. The threat is real. The Virus is outside the gates of the Town and people are asked to find a mate, and try to salvage life. Are there other surivors somewhere in the vast world, or are the 46 left it? Is there a permanent cure for this virus or do you have to kill a Unicorn to survive? Or will the children of the surivors be born with immunity? Only time will tell - and now it's in your hands.

Welcome to Nocte Silenti - we enter the world in February of 2007,
when the Marriage Decree has been sent out.

Six degrees of separation (also referred to as the "Human Web") refers to the idea that everyone is on average approximately six steps away from any other person on Earth, so that a chain of, "a friend of a friend" statements can be made, on average, to connect any two people in six steps or fewer.

2006. Wizarding Great Britain is finally ready to move on from the events of May 1998. Hogwarts reconstruction has been completed, old shops have been restored and reopened and new shops have popped up in Wizarding towns. The community and commerce is thriving once more.

However, old prejudices die hard. School rivalries still ring true, Pureblood Supremecists still hold their views with utmost importance and Muggleborn Rights Activists still fight for complete equality. Not everyone gets along and this is no perfect world. Where will you fit in? Will you be the Boy Hero having drinks at a local pub with the Slytherin Prince? Will you be the Bubbling Badger secretly pining after the Raven Seeker? Will you be the Brawny Sidekick struggling to shed pretense in order to strike up a friendship with the Bookish Brunette?

Wherever you fit in, just remember that we are all connected. Where rivalries, prejudices, romances and friendships run, our steps from one person to the next run closer and deeper.

Welcome to Six Degrees!
