A day was not perfect without laughter, or at least that was the philosophy of the Weasley twins. The sun could be shinning, the weather could be just right, but without laughter it just wasn't perfect. Judging from the sounds coming from their children as they ran around playing a game of tag with their mothers, today was absolutely perfect.
In a few short days, the first new batch of Weasley's would be entering their first year at Hogwarts. Jake and Mary, two war orphans that the couples had adopted five years ago, were full of excitement and could not wait to board the Hogwarts Express. Neither could their parents, but they knew they would miss having their older children running around the house. So, as an end of the summer treat the two families had decided to go to Hyde Park for a family picnic.
Fred and George were setting things up, Fred getting the blanket straight and George had the food and a bag filled with toys for the kids to play with.
While George was digging inside the bag looking for a Frisbee he felt a light tap on his shoulder and looked up to see his twin gazing at him.
"Look at that, Georgie." His twin spoke while motioning towards the direction of the loud laughter.
As he looked over, George couldn't help but smile. Jake and Mary had led the two sets of twins, Liam and Morgan who were George's twin sons, and Marilyn and Rowan who were Fred's twin girls, to the edge of Serpentine lake and they were all lightly splashing their mothers with water.
George watched his wife cover her face and let out a little shriek as the water hit her, she was so beautiful and he felt his heart swell with love as he watched his children and their cousins playing with their Mum and Aunt.
"Wow, they're perfect." George sighed as he leaned against his twin just a bit.
"Yeah, they are. You and Pansy made some beautiful children, brother mine." Fred spoke as he watched the scene in front of them.
"So did you and Katie, I say we make a few more." A wicked grin spread across George's face at the thought.
"I'm inclined to agree with you, my dear brother." Fred let out a small sigh, "I'm so lucky to be able to have all this."
George knew his brother was thinking back to the battle and how he had came so very close to leaving him behind forever. It still scared them how easily they could have been separated, but George would not see this day ruined by thoughts like this. He nudged Fred's arm lightly and smiled.
"Let's go even the odds over there, what do you say?"
Fred's face lit up and his grin returned, "I say, you're bloody brilliant you are! Katie doll! Need some help over there?"
George watched his twin run over to his wife and he was laughing, everything was absolutely perfect.
