Fic: Secret October, Fred/Katie, PG
Title: Secret October
Author: Harleen harleen
Pairings: Fred/Katie
Word Count: 300
Rating: PG
Warnings: Romance, fluff, pregnancy (if those can be considered warnings)
Disclaimer: I don't own them and no money is being made from this.
Summary: Fred and Katie go on a very special date.
Author's Notes: Written for hp_prompts, this week's prompt: a picnic. This has yet to have a beta, so please bear with any mistakes. I have done a thorough self-beta though. This is canon compliant to Deathly Hallows until page 636, after that it is AU. So, yes, there are some spoilers here. And okay, I couldn't resist using the title. ;)

The day was drawing to a close already, a slight chill was in the air, as it always seemed to in October. Still, the couple stretched out on the plaid blanket seemed oblivious to this fact.
Fred smiled down at Katie, placing one of his hands on her abdomen.
"Do you know what today is, sweetheart?" he asked her as he placed a plump, juicy strawberry against her lips, watching her as she tasted it.
After savouring the sweet flavour for a moment, Katie's eyes lit up.
"Yes, I do. And you're so sweet for remembering," she told him, one of her hands caressing his face.
Fred shook his head. "Nah, not sweet. George is the sweet one, I'm the prat, remember?"
"You're not a prat! You are sweet for remembering the ten year anniversary of our first date, and replicating it, Mister Weasley," she answered, her eyes sparkling up at him.
"Well, that's because you deserve it, Mrs. Weasley," Fred gave her a soft kiss as the hand on her abdomen rubbed slow circles against the fabric of her jumper. "So, are you hoping for a boy or a girl this time?"
Katie giggled. "Well, we've got two boys and two girls already. I'll be happy with whatever we have, love."
"Yeah, me too," Fred replied honestly. It seemed like they had started dating only yesterday, after he nearly died in the Battle. But there they were, ten years, a marriage and four--nearly five--children later.
And he never once regretted a moment of it.
"I love you Katie doll, so much," he told her, stroking her hair and grinning at her.
"And I love you, Freddie," Katie responded, pulling him closer. Her kiss told him exactly how much.
