Remus placed the dishes into the sink and cast a charm that would begin to wash them.
"Well, that was sweet. What no good bye kiss?" Sirius drawled as he lounged against the kitchen doorway.
Remus stiffened. "It wasn't like that."
"So you're just fuck buddies?"
Remus raised his eyebrows and clenched his jaw. "It's not like that either. He just stopped here to sleep when he was too tired to walk back to Hogwarts from Hogsmeade."
"A likely story."
"He's an Order member, Sirius. This house is the headquarters for that organization. If someone needs a place to go it is supposed to be here."
"And would you share your bed with any Order member? Mad-eye perhaps, or 'Dung?" Sarcasm dripped from Sirius' lips.
"If there were no other beds, I probably would. Or at least share my room." Remus replied candidly.
"Ha! So he did share your bed. Why? There are at least a half-dozen bedrooms on that floor alone."
"It's not any of your business, Sirius. He stayed the night here; he's an Order member that should just about cover it."
"Moony, if you're that hard up for it try my cousin. I'm sure Nym would accommodate you on occasion by changing. It's a well known fact that she's interested." Sirius pleaded.
Remus gasped. "She's so young! What about fifteen years younger than we are? Not to mention the fact that she is a woman. You do know what homosexual, queer, gay all mean right?"
"That's why she's perfect she could be a man too." Sirius smiled at his own brilliance.
"Again, woman and too young. I can run my own love life. Thank you."
"If it involves Snape you obviously can't." Sirius declared hotly.
"Sirius, at the moment my love life is completely devoid of love or life. Let it go please."
"But Moony…"
"Why don't we talk about your love life?"
"What damned love life, I can't even get Fred and George to bring me a blowup doll." Sirius lamented.
"Perhaps you should have asked someone who is of age or just somebody who has access to an owl-order sex toys catalog."
Sirius' eyes lit up. 'Do you have one? Please tell me you have one!"
"Actually, I do." Remus was thrilled the diversion had worked. Severus was not a topic he wanted to discuss with Sirius, ever.
