Thank you! I'm fascinated by Victorian sex practices and the House of Strangers comes from that. There were homes that had one door for men and one door for women and a darkened room where they would meet anonymously. There's a story that a man and woman fell in love inside on of these houses and arranged to meet in a park only to find out that they were brother and sister. Can't vouch for the story but it's a heck of one.
