A/N: part one it seems
Severus startled as he juggled his teacup when the banging began on the front door. He hadn't expected visitors; short of his mother and Minerva no one even knew where to find him. His spleen could use some venting and the idiot making the annoying din was about to be on the receiving end of it. He flung the door open and found himself face to face with Remus Lupin. There were so many things wrong with that he couldn't even begin to count them.
Remus stepped past him and into the lounge.
"One generally waits to be invited in." Severus drawled.
"I'm not a vampire as you well know."
"I understand it works for people as well. As I recall told you in no uncertain terms that I never wanted to see or speak with you again. Perhaps you have forgotten."
"Your come was still warm on my chest; it is quite unlikely that I would forget."
"Yet here you are." Severus tightened his dressing gown sash.
"We have a problem." Remus stated simply.
"My only problem currently is that my breakfast has been interrupted by someone I have no wish to see or speak with."
"Harry has gone missing."
"He's an adult. He doesn't need to tell you or anyone else where he is every moment. The Dark Lord is four months dead and the boy is eighteen, I imagine he needs a break." Severus moved back toward the kitchen.
"He was supposed to meet Ginny for lunch yesterday."
Severus snorted. "I most likely he's finally worked out that he'd rather be with Malfoy."
"And then he didn't show up to the Wasps game last night. He was supposed to meet Ron and George there. They checked Grimmauld Place he wasn't there. I checked it this morning myself, along with a place called Fuzzy's that he likes to run to in the morning. He generally eats breakfast there as well. They hadn't seen him this morning either."
"Lupin, he's probably pissed out of his mind, hung-over or still shagging some rent boy. He'll turn up eventually." He waved a dismissive hand. "Now, onto important matters, how in bloody hell did you find out where I was?" Severus demanded.
"Minvera. She's worried too." Remus bit his lip.
Perhaps she was worried, but she was also the biggest matchmaker this side of Hadrian's Wall. "He'll turn up; he's an adult." Severus tossed the tea in his cup into the sink. "Now if you're quite finished I have things to do."
"Severus could we talk?" Remus asked quietly.
"Lupin, I've said everything I am going to."
"Please Severus. We had something."
"And I ended it. Period. You've outstayed your welcome." Severus nodded toward the door.
Remus looked at him long and hard before he pounced. He pressed Severus to the wall and took his mouth in a deep, searing kiss. Desire flared in the pit of his belly and he took everything he could, but gave it back almost unwittingly as well. Suddenly, the molten kiss was over. The door snicked softly as it closed. Severus sagged against the doorjamb; he couldn't breathe. All the old feelings had rushed back, so intense his body ached with it. Lupin had made the first move, had wanted to talk. He wasn't naïve enough to believe things could ever go back to the way they once were.
