Day 24 Arts & Crafts - Snape/Lupin sort of
Title: Arts and Crafts Pairing: Snape/Remus sort of Word Count: 760 Rating: R Warnings: Unbeta'd. Challenge: Day 24 May Madness, paintbrush Author's Notes: 24 Day Severus was lead into the room with about fifteen other prisoners. They were all awaiting trial because they were accused Death Eaters. As luck would have it, they were not being held in Azkaban for the duration. There were activities scheduled once every week and Severus had learned no matter the course, poetry reading, knitting session, or in this case painting, he went. It meant he had something to do besides sit in his cell and contemplate the past, present and future.
When he was first incarcerated Potter and come to visit him and had raged about the injustice. He rallied the Order in Severus' defense, but the wheels of justice turned slowly Chosen One or not. So now he waited and broke up the monotony and guilt with the idiocy that the Ministry provided.
Today was the third in a session of painting lessons. The first had been painting fruit on canvas, of course. The paint brush reminded him of his wand. They'd moved on to flowers last week. Severus was certain they would have something equally thrilling, perhaps a taxidermied owl. Nonetheless, it was light here and they let him have a semi-pointy object for a few hours.
The easels and stools were all set in place, with the requisite non-toxic paints, water, brushes and artist palettes. As he woolgathered the back spaces filled up and before he realized it he was in the front row. He had never been, never would be a front row type. Oddly, there was a stool with a coverlet draped over it at the front as well.
The instructor glided in a strange combination of Trelawney and Slughorn, and only had one name Benbrith. "Today, we will be doing another still life."
Oh, joy.
"This time with a human model. The human form is a thing of beauty. You must challenge yourselves. First, I will show you a few new techniques to add to your growing repertoire."
There was forty-five minutes on how circles turned to shoulders, hands and heads. Severus wondered why they didn't just paint abstracts, because that was how most of them turned out anyway. The door opened at the side of the room. Severus felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end. He turned.
Remus Lupin strode into the room wearing only a dressing gown. Not so much human form thought Severus snidely. "We will have a live model for this. You may find that instead of the whole subject you may want to concentrate on one area, elbow, a hand, the face perhaps, but you are the artist you must paint as the form calls to you." Benbrith finished with a flourish of his arms.
Remus dropped the dressing gown and settled against the stool. His left shoulder turned slightly inward away from Severus. Severus' eyes started at the top and worked their way down. Apparently, the werewolf had never worn clothing that did his body any favours. The upper body was more heavily muscled than he had imagined. His eyes roved farther, taut stomach, huge penis. HUGE PENIS. Severus brain screamed just in case he hadn't actually noticed. Lupin, a nice quiet werewolf of a man was hung like a horse. Severus prick responded immediately.
Severus' eyes dropped and took in the legs and the bare feet as his brain and prick told his eyes to move back up. He heard Benbrith's voice in the background reminding them to lightly sketch before they started with the paint. Severus' eyes were riveted to Remus' prick. After a full three minutes of starting it was obvious what Severus needed to do, beside wank.
He was going to paint one part of Remus. Just the one. The sketch came fairly easily. He wasn't as proficient with the paint, but this was one subject he had a genuine interest in. The more realistic he managed to make the better it would look on the wall of his cell. The class and Remus took two breaks, while Severus toiled on.
"Quite good, Severus." Benbrith nodded.
Severus had nearly jumped out of his boots. "Thank you."
"See what you can do when you apply yourself." The instructor added as he moved on.
Oh, Severus was going to apply himself. Over and over and over.
Time was up and the paintings all had a drying charm cast upon them. Remus had slipped back into his dressing gown. As he walked by Severus he whispered. "Owl me once you're acquitted. We could talk." Remus winked. "Or not." His eyebrows waggled.
