Title: Pieces Pairing: Narcissa/Bellatrix Rating: PG-13 Disclaimer: HP belongs to JKR, Warner Bros., etc. I make no money from this Warnings: Incest Summary: Narcissa reflects on how the Dark Lord took her sister from her.
“Cissa, come with me,” Bellatrix shook a sleeping Narcissa awake.
Narcissa struggled; she didn't want to leave her bed. The Slytherin dungeons may be cold, but the beds were warm.
“I'll make it worth your while,” Bellatrix whispered promisingly in her ear.
“I've joined The Dark Lord's ranks,” Bellatrix whispered, when they had gotten to a private place.
Narcissa sat in stunned silence.
As Bellatrix went on, eyes shining with excitement, Narcissa pouted over the kisses she had been falsely promised. Although she didn't know it, that was the day she lost her sister, her confidante, her lover.
From then on, all Bellatrix wanted to do was talk about the Dark Lord. His cunning, his strength, his vision. Narcissa began to fade into a ghost of her former self. A quiet, compliant woman, happy to do nothing but listen while others preached about the Dark Lord's greatness. It was why Lucius loved her so much. It was why losing Draco to him was heartbreaking.
Still, so many years later when she watched Molly Weasley's curse kill Bellatrix, a mocking laugh still on her sister's lips, a piece of her heart she didn't know was even there broke.
