Severus stood at the window watching the wind scatter shrivelled leaves across the bright lawn and listened to the scratching of branches against the glass. Repressing a shiver, he glanced up at the round moon that glowed in the sky, painting the landscape silver with its light. Most people found the sight of an almost full moon romantic and magical. They never considered the pain it could cause.
Strong arms suddenly slipped around his naked body, pulling him back against a broad chest. Warm lips brushed against his neck and a voice murmured softly in his ear, “Come back to bed, love. The moon isn’t full until tomorrow. We shouldn’t waste tonight.”
Severus smiled as a familiar hardness pressed eagerly against his upper thigh. “I thought you were asleep. I heard snoring...”
“A quick nap and I’m always up for another round, you know that. Besides, you promised you’d model my gift, and we could play a little game. You know that seeing you in black lace brings out the big bad wolf in me...”
Severus smirked and allowed himself to be pulled toward the bed. “All right, but this time I absolutely refuse to wear that hooded red cloak.”
