A Moment Alone
Hogsmeade Cemetery was a desolate place, cold no matter the season and rain fell day in day out. James suspected magic was the reason for this. Scorpius had insisted on coming here and would not listen to James' protests. Today of all days James could think of at least five places he would rather be.
"Why are here again?" James asked, his teeth chattering from the chill air as he pulled his thick wool cloak around him.
"I like it here; It's quiet, peaceful," Scorpius said softly, looking away.
"Wouldn't you prefer being back at the Castle? Aside from it being Halloween this place gives me the creeps, I'm sure we find a nice-out-of-the-way corner somewhere for some peace and quiet."
"I didn't ask you to come with me. You're the one who wanted to spend some 'quality' time together."
"Okay," James said. Scorpius often puzzled James, but he liked solving complex puzzles and figuring out Scorpius Malfoy was his favourite pastime, no matter the location.
"We are here because I had people overload. You know better than anyone that I need my space."
"What about me?"
Scorpius smiled shyly. "I never need space from you."
