Title: My, Grandma! What big eyes you have! Pairing: Luna Lovegood, Remus Lupin, Severus Snape Rating: PG-13 Warnings: Lolita-esque scenario Summary: Remus knows what it's like to be the Big Bad Wolf.
Remus Lupin had fond memories of Halloween but, it was different this time. He was a professor and while his younger self had found a way to rid himself of the excess energy and urges that always surrounded this time of year, now it wasn't quite so easy.
"Professor?"
Luna Lovegood, a second year Ravenclaw, stood in the door way dressed as Little Red Riding Hood and he suddenly wasn't in control anymore. It was wrong on so many levels and he fought to keep his calm as he smiled at her, gesturing to come towards the desk.
"Yes, Miss Lovegood?" he said. Remus suddenly became distracted as she shifted her dress, the skirt pulling up higher on her skinny legs. The wolf growled in approval.
"Professor?" Luna asked, moving closer as she studied the man carefully. "Your eyes. They seem... larger."
Oh sweet Merlin, this wasn't happening. "It's a typical reaction to low light for the pupils to dilate," he smiled, the wolf cackling.
"Professor," she said again, reaching out to him. "Your ears. They seem larger, too."
Remus coughed, shaking his head. "No, no, nothing like that. My ears are the same as they've always been."
Luna turned her head to the side, studying his face from a different angle before she touched his cheek, causing him to jump. "Your teeth!" she exclaimed. "They're larger as well!"
"Miss Lovegood!" Remus practically squeaked, taking her by the shoulders to push her away. Something changed inside of him and a hunger filled his belly. The wolf smiled revealing overly sharp teeth. He pulled the girl close to him, smelling her neck and feeling her warm blood pulse through her veins. "The better to eat you with, my dear," he chuckled, opening his mouth-
"Lupin!"
The stern voice jolted Remus and he nearly fell out of his chair. He was pale, his heart racing. "Sev-severus?" he stammered. "What.. how...?"
"You fell asleep," Severus scowled, placing a goblet in front of him.
"Wolfsbane," the potion's master informed him. Remus nodded and drank the potion, only grimacing slightly
Snape looked at Remus, judging the man carefully before he nodded. "You look peaky," he said shortly. "Come with me. You need to get out of the castle and I know the perfect place to do so."
Lupin started to speak but a glare from the potion's master made him keep his mouth shut and follow Snape out the door.
"I'm not doing this because I enjoy spending time with you," Snape informed him. "But it's dangerous to have you near the children. I'd rather watch over you myself."
"How kind of you," Remus said, rolling his eyes as he stepped into the floo and was suddenly whisked away to a strange restaurant.
"Chinese?" Remus said, dumbfounded until he over heard a familiar song playing through the wireless.
Awoooo, Werewolves of London
Lupin shook his head. "You've such a bizarre sense of humor."
