Author’s Notes: Snape gets back at Hermione for making him dress as Godric Gryffindor last year.



Headmaster Snape had been planning for this night all year long. Hermione argued that granting 113 points to a student essay was rather over the top, but that paper on the thirteenth use of dragon blood had won Slytherin the House Cup. And the right for the Headmaster to pick out his wife’s Halloween costume.
Hermione fidgeted with the emerald green tie. "Surely there is some rule about Gryffindors not wearing a Slytherin uniform? Some pureblood prejudice against sullying the old silver and green?" She glared at the portrait of Phineas Nigellus, who was enjoying the show a bit too much.
"I do believe the skirt should be just a touch shorter, don’t you agree, Headmaster?" The portrait’s voice was filled with mock criticism.
"Quite right," Snape replied, and with a brush of his wand the skirt shrank noticeably.
"I am not attending the party dressed like this," Hermione said flatly, tugging at her hem. "After ten years the gossip is finally starting to die down a bit and now you want me to show up in public dressed like some silly schoolgirl?"
The Headmaster swept her up into his arms. "And just who said anything about appearing in public?"
