Summary:After her divorce Hermione goes to Hogwarts, never expecting her past to follow her.

When her marriage breaks down and the press blames her, Hermione takes up the Charms position at Hogwarts. Her children are adults leading their own lives so she feels no guilt. It is in her third day of marking that the ghost of Theo wanders into her classroom. Hermione neither screams nor drops anything. She simply stares for a few moments as she works out who the ghost is. Asking when and how he died seems rude so she just sits, quill in hand.

"Hermione Granger."

"I used to be her."

Hearing a ghost laugh is a strange experience.

"You won't be when I am finished with you."

A chill goes down her neck. She knows what that means. Laws about restricting ghosts fly across her brain. It is like Theo can see them.

"I'm going to be everywhere. If you never came to Hogwarts maybe Potter would have come to us. You did. He didn't. Now I am dead. I think I will follow you, Granger."

"You're a coward," she mumbles, "All ghosts are."

Theo, grey and hardly there, grins, "I will be sure to tell them that. I am sure they will be in touch."
