Dear Immy

That sounds weird, doesn't it? But it's hard to think of what else to write to begin.

I've gone away for a while. Don't be upset. Don't be scared. Don't be mad.

Maybe I just need an adventure. You could put it that way. You would. I'm going on an adventure with Sebastian because I want us to be even closer than we are now. And I'm mad at Papa and everyone here (I know you've noticed) and I don't mind that they'll be annoyed. I only mind about you and Lily and so I want you to know I will be back soon with a hundred stories. I promise to tell you every single one. But for now we're hiding and this is all a big secret. But I have to share it with you.

I'll be completely safe because Sebastian's with me and he's of age to use magic. It's not as if there's a war on. And he has a job and I'm trying to get one too. It'll be exciting. I'll even let you say it's romantic if you like but only because I'm not there to pull a face.

I'll write to you every week, but I have to send them to Lily first because she knows a secret way to receive messages that can't be traced. If you want to send me letters I don't think you can but the thing you could do would be post in that journal Father made for you when you went to school. I can read it there, even if I can't say anything that might give away where we've run off to.

Don't be sad. Be happy for me. I'll see you soon.
