12:00 am - [info]umbridges_army - notes written on a Muggle index card propped on the mantel of Binn's office

*The slightly yellowed card, grubby at the edges, is held against the mirror above the fireplace by leaning against an old iron key-ring, to which six or seven unlabeled keys of various sizes and materials are attached. To the casual onlooker the card appears to hold only a list of minor battles of the Second Goblin-Centaur Conflict, in reverse chronological order, with some bibliographic references appended in a crabbed hand. Each ciphered note replaces the last.*

But you've checked? Everything is still safe?

of course I've checked, twice a week as requested. The archives are still well hidden and the real catalog is visible only to the long-time staff. The glamour is in place; nobody's yet noticed how many of the books have been gone and for how long.

And you still have access to the rooms which hold the bulk of the collections?

The key is here, hidden in plain sight, as agreed. And how are you enjoying your research trip? Have you found any of the materials I requested?

You'll get your back-cataloged Romanian ephemera eventually, never fear. Just keep my library safe meanwhile!
