Perhaps there's a middle ground that you initially dismissed? I think you'd be much better off with a traditional cake, but if one must have such strong colour on the cake, it should certainly be more subtle than those choice, and as much as I admire Molly's choices, all that red will clash with your groom's hair, and you really must be careful of that, As blue works with both of your complexions and your bouquet is blue, perhaps it's better to settle on a single colour for your accent. Do consider the last that I've attached if you do decide to go with a colour.
