(FLYING PICK DEFENCE)

They're probably definitely reading your post, so I'll be brief. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. No matter what.

12:29 pm - [info]sicarian - Owl Post: Draco Malfoy

Dear Draco,

I wonder at your objection to a hamster when you deny almost none of Miss Weasley's wishes. The rodent would scarcely be a significant addition to Lake Cottage's sizable bestiary but it would be an important acquisition for Miss Weasley. I sense that she, like Regan, likes to take care of things, to tend to them. Not a bad disposition to cultivate as it fosters dependability and a sense of responsibility. A hamster is easy to take care of, even by someone as young as Miss Weasley (with close supervision). A word of advice, when picking out the hamster try and shield Miss Weasley's young eyes from the guinea pigs. Regan went insane the first time she saw the fluffy creatures. She waged a long, patient, often noisy, and ultimately victorious campaign to get Rupert Pig and Snowball Pig.

I shall be at Lake Cottage tomorrow. We will stroll over the verdant grounds, watch the surface of the lake rippled by vernal winds, sigh over the first spring buds, fill our lungs with pollen, crown each other's head with daisy wreaths, and talk about Ron Weasley.

Love,
Blaise

P.S. Please convey to Miss Weasley my gratitude and admiration for her charming correspondent and artwork, sentiments upon which I will elaborate in person tomorrow.

06:07 pm - [info]upuaut - A note which materialises on the dinner plate of every Fourth Year Arithmancy student

*the notes all smell faintly of dungbombs, and the reverse contains a list of 6 problems*

To all Fourth Year Arithmancy students:

As the dungbomb prank this afternoon required the evacuation of the Arithmancy classroom well before the end of the class period, you will need to cover the missed material as homework.

Complete all five short essay questions in the problem set in the back of Chapter 9 as well as the attached problems. As always, show your work; the assignment should require 4 feet of parchment.

Ron.

My boy...

You do have a chance with Lily, but I think that you're right. Not that you cannot ever see Lily again, that's ridiculous, but that you should wait, hold on until you feel ready. Until you feel that she'll be safe around you. She's the most important person in the world to you, I know. Like you and your siblings are the most important to me. And that day will come, and it will probably come sooner than you think it will.

Your Mum and I are worried about you of course and we love you with all of our hearts, and we know that you're sorry. Our gentle boy. War does things to you, it breaks you, and you've been broken more than once, but you're still ours and we will always be there.

We'll come to see you this week. Your Mum and I. We'll take turns. Because we're not leaving you there alone. It's not good for you to be left alone without seeing those that love you. We're there for you. Always. We love you.

Your Dad
