"Your only great flaw is to be such a highly-strung drama queen, acting as if you're the first and only person in the world to have a conscience or to feel guilty about something. It's natural, and most of us just get on with it, you know, without the histrionics. We work through it, rather than clamming up and treating the whole world as black and white." Perfect words for Albus to hear, and while it's harsh honesty, it's said in kindness.
I loved this fic. It's written with graceful fluidity, and it has a great plot with even better characterizations. Though I daresay, Horace stole the fic. (at least for me) Horace with his contacts at the Ministry, his unending crush and his playing the catalyst that brings Minerva back; he's the character who resonates with me days after first reading this fic. A superb story!
