Sad and comforting and healing and, finally - sweet, like a harsh gash in the earth where seeds are sown and plants fill in the area and it becomes hard to note the injury except to those who remember it happening.
I liked the contrast of how Augusta was a shadow over Neville to Pomona who was herself a shadow over Augusta's memories of her son and his wife and life. The Saturday vs. Sunday visitation routine was a nice touch, and demonstrated Pomona's stubborn Hufflepuff loyalty as well as her accommodating side. The visits, though! So poignant. I was pleased that you allowed them both to regain a bit of their former connection again at the end. Beautifully done.
