Oh, this is such a charming, compact piece. I love the way you write of Rolanda's helplessness in the face of Minerva's being felled by four Stunners. I love how Poppy cares for both of them, and how Minerva reassures her lover with the demand to feel alive.
So hard, this need to remain closeted professionally, even if it's a relatively open secret.
And that bit of backstory, of Minerva helping Rolanda through that time of taking care of her father (to whom she was obligated) was such a rich tidbit. It does make taking care of someone else you love harder, having seen the decline of one you tended.
