Name: dueltastic Reliable Email Address: will be msged to mod Are you over 18? Yes I would be willing to pinch hit: Sadly not
For the art/fic you will be RECEIVING: I would like to receive: Fic I would like to receive Slash/Het/Femslash/No Preference: No preference (I like blurry definitions, bisexuality, mixed-gender OT3s, and whatever the characters are feelin' like today, so I don't know which of those best fits me. I have a slight preference for stories that have both men and women in strong roles, which can mean het in practice, but it's all about the characters, and I by no means dislike same-sex stories.) I would like to receive Fic/Art rated R/NC-17; PG/PG-13; G; No preference: No preference I would like to to receive art/fic featuring one of the following: (in order of appearance) Albus Dumbledore, Aberforth Dumbledore, Filius Flitwick, Rubeus Hagrid, Minerva McGonagall, Alastor Moody, Rufus Scrimgeour, Griselda Marchbanks. I am unwilling to receive art/fic featuring any of the following Greyback, Pettigrew, Voldemort, Quirrell, Skeeter, Prang, Umbridge, Edgecombe, Bane, Vernon Dursley I am unwilling to receive art/fic containing any of the following elements:
crack!fic
hardcore kinks (Not kink-averse on the mild-to-mid/less explicit end - for instance, BDSM okay, just not in the mood for the heavier end of things.)
non-magical AU
darkfic (I can dig bleak or gritty or bitter if you want to go towards that end, but a hint of sweetness would be nice, especially when this lot don't often get nice love stories.)
character-bashing
mpreg
overly-romanticized characters - I love 'em warts and all, awkward and difficult and moody and ugly and everything.
A sexist wizarding world. While there's definitely a critique to be made of the conservative gender roles JKR tended to employ, I find I respond much more to the historically co-ed institutions, the women who were prominent Headmistresses and Ministers of Magic in the 1400s and 1700s, the badass women who were fighting things when Dumbledore was in short pants. The slight historical revisionism of it gives me joy, and I get grumpy about giving up that alternate gender reality of the Potterverse.
For the art/fic you will be GIVING:
I would like to give: Fic I would like to give Slash/Het/Femslash/No Preference: No preference, but it's a pretty character-driven thing for me, so I may not be the best match for someone who feels strongly about only reading one of those; a more flexible recipient will likely be happiest with me and my suckitude at coloring inside the lines. (If the only match-up option is someone who will only read one of the three, het is a safer default - I tend more often to write fic that mixes genders.) I would like to give Fic/Art rated R/NC-17; PG/PG-13; G; No preference: No preference, but I usually hover around PG-13 and rarely go above hard R. I am willing to give Fic/Art featuring one of the following characters: Albus Dumbledore, Aberforth Dumbledore, Argus Filch, Filius Flitwick, Grubbly-Plank, Rubeus Hagrid, Minerva McGonagall, Alastor Moody, Rufus Scrimgeour, Horace Slughorn, Griselda Marchbanks, Amelia Bones I am unwilling to give Fic/Art featuring one of the following characters: Not sure I remember these well enough to write them - Firenze, Bane, Ernie Prang, Dedalus Diggle, Walden Macnair, Marvolo Gaunt & Morfin Gaunt I am unwilling to give Fic/Art containing any of the following elements: I don't know, the fest rules are pretty open-ended, so I don't think there's much need to opt out of things I'm unwilling to do, when I have so much freedom over pairing and so on. But there are maybe a few things that'd make me a bad fit for a recipient:
I can't promise any sort o' kink, I might just be no good at it. If it weren't the recipient's One True Love, I could take a look and see if it'll happen - I don't object to it being in there, I just don't want to disappoint if I can't make it happen.
Snape-haters might not be happy with me. (He might or might not show up, but he's one of my regular set.)
