"Don't take no notice of them mates of yours with their clear complexions. You look fine as you are." Ohhh yes. <3
it was the first of the secrets which he kept from them. Oh perfect. Yes, like I was saying before, that whole rift getting bigger. This is great.
I kind of think of teen Sirius and post-Azkaban Sirius as two different beings, so I love the way Mundungus is annoyed with him when he's a teen but I think they really are good friends later on, as good as they can be for men who don't make many friends.
Ostentatiously, he performed a shrinking spell and earned a grudging, "Wish I'd thought of that," from Sirius. Wow, it's like the first time he kind of feels clever about something like that. Awesome. :-)
I just really love how comfortable Dung is being himself, having few neighbors, putting on tea, etc.
For me? Peter thought. There wasn't anyone else around. YES. For you! <3
Mundungus leaving to put his face in his hands and pick a present...amazing. And Peter following to further explain what he'd said.
if Peter had read everything wrong as he usually did and if he'd let his fantasy life blind him to reality This is heart-breaking.
Their shyness is so perfect. And also, I like that realizing Sirius is a Black gives Dung a little more understanding and even a tinge of sympathy for him.
This is really, really awesome. Thank you so much. I loved the characterization and the sweetness and the awkwardness. You hit all the right notes with me. I am going to imagine that this causes Peter to break away from the Marauders but to also stay with the Order and with Mundungus and to start caring about others.
