Let me apologize, because I'm going to be doing a lot of repeating of what you've written. I'm just very excited.
First of all, freaking out a little at how perfect the pairing is. I am very fond of Mundungus. I absolutely love how this opens, with Sirius showing himself off and Remus all "it's probably not that" haha wow.
Peter upset that his friends find things funny that he finds scary. That's amazing. James is shown as really clever here. It's a really good point about his animagus form actually being more vulnerable than the others'. Really love how when James says he doesn't know him he is "appalled". This is characterized very well.
Remus being practical about the possibilities Mundungus might offer. Peter being tempted to see him panic again and look away. I LOVE that they give Peter patronizing looks for stating the obvious. This is really good.
Yay for puppy fat. Sirius is cute trying to be all seductive, and I love Peter's consideration of Mundungus. Peter being attracted to and resenting their good looks at the same time.
Peter's mind wandered to the man in the dark corner, to being pressed down onto the sticky pub table by his large, grimy hands. You are wonderful.
BLUSHING BEHIND HIS ACNE. Yes. I am so excited that he followed him, and that he made to look like he was thinking of nicking the banister.
You are trying to kill me with happiness, aren't you. Mundungus talking about joking too much and not taking things, people, Peter seriously enough. OMG and then he offers to help him with something he's obviously self-conscious about this is too great. And I love that his thoughts jump right to sexual payment, and that he thinks that'll be out of the question.
I love you. Mundungus not fancying doing favors with the others is perfect to me. The marauders as teens annoy me, and you've done them so well and this fic is a bit like a jab at them and I like that.
For a free sample it was a big pot. Peter wondered whether Mundungus actually had fancied him a little. It was more likely to be a sales tactic, though. Beautiful.
dark and worrying</b> I love this description.
I love how Mundungus seems bigger, face to face in the alley, and how Peter is disappointed their hands don't touch.
Dung giving him more for free. Telling him he's handsome and making sure their hands touch. You are hitting all the right buttons for me. This is what I love about Dung's character, I think he'd be really supportive and familiar if he was fond of you.
I really like things where we see the rift between Peter and the rest get bigger and this is doing that really nicely.
"I'd better let you get back to your warm bed," Mundungus said. This is unbelievably hot. :-)
