The summary hooked me - I love stories that pick up throwaway canon moments - and I've been waiting for someone to use the Beedle Tales commentary as background for ages. I particularly adore the duplicity of Dumbledore, and the truth about the Ashwinder incident. The set-up is excellent, the hints of Millicent's ancestry (so obvious in hindsight) the little incidents that make the Wizarding world live ("She can't see them. What the bloody hell is she doing raising Thestrals if she can't see them?").
Love Millicent's empathy - particularly with Severus.
