What an incredible story-- kudos, Mystery Author. Beautiful, horrifying, painful, bleak, and hopeful. I love Millicent, the little details that flesh her out, her routine, what happened with her parents, the Slytherin way of looking after their own, how she immediately ran for Snape's suit, how she's brave and willing to help even when it scares her.
The illness is fascinating and horrible, and I soooooooo want to know what's behind it, whether it was a "present" left by V or a curse or someone brought it in ... *pulls out hair* I am too invested now!
The descriptions of Hogwarts in quarantine are so well done and you paint such a vivid picture of the bleak, day-to-day, wait-to-die atmosphere without sensationalizing it. Perfection.
I'm so curious as to how Hooch escaped without contracting when she didn't have a suit ... MY CURIOSITY IT SHALL KILL ME! And it's mind-blowing to think of the lengths they had to go and just how bad this was. Mind blown, seriously. I shall be thinking of this story and mulling over all the details for at least a week, and that is the mark of a great fic. :) Thank you for this amazing contribution!
