Things I absolutely adored but forgot to mention, bubbling enthusiasm and adoration and all that jazz: the ells! *cough*girly handwriting*cough*canon*cough* And Belgium!!! Wizarding Brussels! And Viktor's consierge's POV. And the way the leading characters are "a little too modern for tradition, moderate in their politics, and each with their weaknesses for the Mundane world." "Mundane"!!! That's genius, the word! 'Undisclosed' with a beard. Euro Telefloo. (Amazing idea! All your wizarding communication ideas are great!) Viktor's cobbler father. Sensual chess. Hypsipyle Hopkins - that's my new favourite magical name, seriously. Hypsipyle. And you had a Spyker car! My brain zoomed to overdrive. Viktor drives an enchanted Spyker! I was in heaven; thank you for indulging me with this detail. Flaming Manticores (rationally, I know I have no idea what they and their music are like, but I was kind of shaking my head in tune as Viktor was speeding through the city. That's how fabulous your writing is.) And the parallels between Viktor's seduction into doing things, and the difference in choices made by the other man - so brilliant. SO delightful. The sinister Death Eater reference was incredibly chilling, as was the duel in the end. The cat was awesome throughout. I hope it wasn't too bothered by the Magirail trip to Sofia.
