Wow. I love how Draco can still get much of what he wants easily (being served easily in a crowded room), and the way Lucius and Narcissa fought about who spoiled him more made me grin.
I have to mention this line specifically: He has nothing left but himself: a failed husband, a tainted lover, a boy in search of a past that will never return. I found this so in-character, so absolutely Draco. I love the raw vulnerability of Draco here, how he's so down on his luck, at rock bottom when the rock looks like a diamond, and how he throws the vase and how he ignores his parents' words and just...
This was really neat. Viktor wouldn't sleep with anyone for pay, at least I don't think so.
Good job with this. I really liked the oddly liquid feel of everything and the way he felt grounded by Viktor and found he could love again when he'd thought he couldn't.
