Yes, I did! I scored 100% on all three (count 'em, three) of my guesses.
It's not tics or mannerisms, exactly, and certainly not a habit you ought to root out -- it's something all three of the writers I picked out have in common, which is a pleasure in language and therefore a distinct texture and atmosphere. None of you sounds like the others, but you each manage this cross between vivid immediacy and emotional shadows and light lying under the surface or just off the main track. You're all brilliant at the painterly aspect, although I think you do physicality best, not just of bodies but of scene-setting.
I can't be any more specific than that, I'm afraid. Just, whatever it is you're doing, please don't stop doing it. :)
