Thank you for not prettying up these characters, and taking the time and such exquisite metaphors to show us their virtues through the eyes of bravado-filled teenage boys.
I love that you show us not only what the Dursley's absence might have been like, from the perspective of a boy unaffected by whatever spell the Order used to make the rest of the town ignore it, but that you give us an unvarnished glimpse into Piers & Dudley's Muggle (but not unmagical in its own sweetly affecting way!) world.
I'd never read either character as a main or romantic character before. Something tells me you've spoilt me for any others I might stumble over in future. Well done, indeed! Bravo! Brava!
