songquake ([info]songquake) wrote in [info]hp_beholder,
Have just recced this story over at LiveJournal's Dudley_Redeemed community: rec is here. Honestly, I'm not sure I can adequately review the story over all the squeeing in my head.

I love the way you've written Piers! It's so rare for him to be treated sympathetically, and this is such a lovely reading of his reaction to the Dursley's disappearance. And I love how much Piers finds Big D's heft hot (hell, I can relate to that! Being smushed FTW!), and how much intimacy there always has been between the boys, and Dudley's trying to be emotionally competent (holy shit, if we thought Ron had the emotional capacity of a teaspoon, that's nothing next to canon!Dudley) and also get the words right when talking about Magic....and how Piers just sort of accepts that Harry could beam Dudley back to Smeltings, no questions asked.

This is a pairing I absolutely adore (it was the first pairing I think I wrote more than a drabble for, tbh), and I love how you've written this relationship. Mazel tov!
