What an absolutely charming story! It's written with such a light touch, but it has so much political commentary and insight into these characters bubbling just under the surface. I love the way you've sketched out the moral gray area that all these characters are negotiating on the eve of tense political times. The word "war" implies that there are clear sides and a a battle plan (someone's battle plan, at least, somewhere), but in this story there are just ordinary folks (ordinary folks who will become important in this conflict or the next, but ordinary folks nevertheless), trying to decide how they feel about violence, intimidation, and extra-legal intervention in the name of a greater good. I *love* the fact that MWPP joined the order by stumbling into it, that you respect Arthur and Molly's reluctance to join, and that the visitor at the end could just as well be from "Dumbledore's gang" as he is from the Death Eaters. This is such a subtle, insightful fic--brava! Maggie
