Wonderful portrait of wizarding society during the first war. I love the glimpses we get of everybody's lives and the (sometimes sad) foreshadowing ("Nothing's the matter with Frank or Alice." -- the whole scene is so poignant). Molly, Moody and Augusta, Gideon, they are all fantastic, and I especially love Arabella (her relationship with Minerva as well as her bonding with Sirius over an "evil" brother). The fact that you hint at Remus/Sirius makes me love your story even more. The newspaper article is such a clever narrative device, and the open ending is brilliant. I hope Mallet's visitor is Moody, but then, he's still with Augusta, isn't he?
