Full of caffeine, and full of words! Mystery author, thank you ever so for this delightful fic. Millicent needs more attention and more love, in my world, and I was pleased to see that you selected her as the main character of this. I also have an unabashed love for Sinistra, despite her minor significance to the canon, and was thrilled to see her make an appearance - especially to see her make an appearance as a plus-sized woman! :) Your Skeeter was deliciously vile, and I mean that in the best way possible. These lines - giving her own legs an appreciative look and one mirror would never be enough - spoke volumes about her character.
According to Pansy, Millicent's smile was charming, her eyes gorgeous, and her hair worthy of a fairytale princess. ... Millicent was unable to believe her.
Oh, Millie. Been there, done that, want to give you hugs for it. When she punched Blaise, I had to laugh. In my younger days, I did almost exactly the same thing to a fellow in my school - though he was far more deserving of it.
Millie's attachment to her metaphors, and her hatred and fear of being exposed and vulnerable, and her misinterpretation of Blaise's attentions - oh, been there too. I felt so much for Millie here, because I've been through it all.
I loved the Slytherin loyalty, even as they knew their bonds were breaking with adulthood and adult responsibilities. Loved, loved, loved all the tiny details that you put into this, from the plop of the coins to the tartan blanket to Rita's green straw. Thank you so much, as well, for the world-building. I adore seeing people expand on JKR's basics. The magical Lover's Lane that keeps out minors, the house-elves pounding their heads on the railing, the names of the night clubs - all fabulous. Sinistra's hobby of reptiles, Millicent's Animagus form, Draco and Greg jostling each other like young men do so often!
Thank you, very much. This was one of the best fest fics I've received. XD
