Shamefully late to the party, but I hope you're still checking comments!

I loved this story and the way you told it. You open the scene so well, setting the atmosphere just right, giving just the right bit of foreshadowing. And I was so impressed and riveted by how you unfold the story backwards. It's something I've always wanted to do ever since reading Sarah Waters' 'Night Watch' but never managed -- and the way you do it makes so much sense.

--"Good thing we aren't poofs, then," said Rufus and shrugged. At least he wasn't. That he enjoyed jerking off in Alastor's company certainly didn't count.
So characteristic of them. Excellent!
