Excellent job -- great choice of pairing, really sharp, IC characterizations (they move so believably from schoolboys to men), beautiful writing. So many deft touches: the way you bring Senior Auror Bellona Harkett alive in just a few strokes, the understated humor of things like the recurring laundry charms, the banter (love Moody's voice in particular), the Sorting Hat's hilarious cameo ("no need to be rude"). The opening and closing are both so powerful and poignant without being sentimental.
Just a fine, fine story and a great beginning to the fest.
