Mmm, I love the idea of chef!Draco. I liked how you wrote Rita - I always found her interesting but your exploration of her character illuminated her in an excellent manner.
I found your Narcissa to be the most interesting character. I was rather taken aback at seeing that she still subscribes to Pureblood-superiority notions (fault all fanfic portraying her as neutral towards Muggles, I suppose) and that she finds it tough to subsume those notions to her *un*conditional love for Draco. But I realised that's entirely a possibility - that Narcissa is SO set in her principles that she is resistant to change. I am glad you gave us this strikingly different portrayal to work with. In my opinion, it was very educating and I realise that Narcissa can be written in just about any way and it would still feel right. Like yours did.
