Ooh, this is brilliant. I love how deeply embedded it is in the magical world - I'm not terribly good at doing this myself, so it's a real treat to see it pulled off so well here.
I'm a huge Neville fan, and I loved your portrayal of him here: the fact that his scars mark him out, for example, whereas he'd prefer to go back to being "plain fade-into-the-background Neville again".
The gentle development of the relationship between him and Millicent was beautifully done, and you had me rooting for them all the way. It was wonderful to see Neville still standing up to his friends when he believes they're wrong. The epilogue made me giggle, too.
Excellent storytelling - I will be reccing this. :)
