As others mentioned, I really enjoyed your subtle subversions of elements of canon. Like Harry, Antonin lives in the shadow of his father, and becomes a soldier when he should just be a child. And like Snape, he's motivated by unrequited love. Canon tells us it's our choices that are important, but here we see how limited a person's choices can really be. Very cleverly and elegantly done.
