Oh, I'm so happy you left us on a warm, intimate note with Emmeline and Amelia! It's hard to read fics like this one, that deal directly and seriously with the death of canon characters whom we've grown to love for the life they've led in fic. (Amelia' death in canon was tragic but not especially affecting for me; several years later, after dozens of stories about her, I feel differently.)

I love the contrast you draw between Amelia's Rule of Law and Emmeline's call to a higher ideal, as well as the sharp observation that the Ministry's actions meant Emmeline and others probably came to distrust it. Enjoyed! M.
