Additional Likes and Dislikes

Please don't “pretty up” the characters. I’d like to see them find happiness just as they are. I prefer adult characters or characters shown during the adult phase of their lives. I prefer plot over no plot and always enjoy seeing light shown into the nooks and crannies of canon that weren’t explored in the books.

I like banter and humor. I love creative magic. Angst is okay, but I’d like a reasonably happy ending. My favorite non-listed characters are Severus Snape and Remus Lupin, and I'm always glad to see either of them in a fic. In fact, Snape/ McGonagall has always been one of my very favorite pairings. :D

I dislike the Marauders as a group as well as fic set during that era. I’m not a big fan of the trio, Death Eaters as a group, or the next gen characters, either.

I like stories about secret admirers, first times, “what if?”, slice of life, and stories that show that reality and what’s commonly known and believed about someone or something aren’t necessarily the same thing. AUs are okay (magical preferred) as are missing scene fics. I love stories that take place at Hogwarts and involve the teachers and staff as they are when the students aren't around.
