What a fabulous story! That first scene between Minerva and Dumbledore is just classic and *perfectly* written. I envy your channeling abilities! They are both so very spot-on.
I love the way you conjure up Hogsmeade at an earlier time, and the hint at a sad backstory that lands The Three Broomsticks in Rosemerta's hands. The glimpse of her as a young businesswoman, taking over a beloved neighborhood pub in a close knit village where she doesn't know anyone is poignant and believable. Albus's meddling is as transparent as always and so while we are expecting a spark or two between Min and Rosey, it was nice to see the subtle touch with which you made it come about. Excellent job, indeed, Mystery Author!
