Zane did not cringe or react to the blood covering the man. He had feed the day prior on one of his regular donors, whom had flown in from Seattle to help with his move. Zane kept the few humans whom knew about him safe from harm in return to not having to hunt. He had not killed during feeding in a very long time thanks to the ancestors of the Drayton family keeping their word to him. But donors were not for the young, nor were they easy to come by. When Zane traveled with Sylvia he used them less because he felt he had to be a mentor by example.
The pitiful creature before him needed such a person or else he would be taken by the sunlight or killed by other means. A vampire was seen as naturally evil, but Zane did not condemn others like God or his vessels might. Zane offered a chance to understand themselves and hope that they could live again without the fear they held as children, as young vampires tended toward.
"Pleasure to meet you." He answered, taking another step forward to reach his hand out in offering of a handshake. "I heard your cries, Nigel. I am hoping I can be of help if you wish it."
