Prim wasn't surprised when she hadn't woken up in her own bed this morning. At least she was still alone in this bed, and that was something. She assumed the house (or whatever was doing this) was randomly assigning people to rooms, and she wondered if she'd get saddled with a roommate. She guessed she'd deal with that if it happened. Given that there was only one bed in her room ... she really wasn't looking forward to a roommate situation. The house had to have a hundred doors though, and she was sure she could find a place to crash if she got stuck with someone she wasn't comfortable sharing a bed with. Maybe Katniss would show up, and that thought made her smile. Only in a situation like this could she ever see her sister again, and as much as she hated the idea of Katniss being stuck here, she did want to see her again. Her, and Gale, and Peeta, and everyone else she'd left behind. While she was a little disappointed that Lily and Jaime weren't the Lily and Jaime from the train -- they'd had a good handle on organizing things -- she was sure she and Myka and Simon and all the others could pitch in to help out. Maybe there wouldn't be anything here to organize. There were no stops, no need for supply runs, and so far nothing seemed particularly sinister -- if one disregarded the kidnapping aspect. Which might not even be kidnapping so much as random displacement, though the idea of the house sending them back heavily implied kidnapping. The train sent them back, after all, and they'd darn sure been kidnapped then. Prim was stirred out of her thoughts as she saw a familiar figure walking down the hall with his back to her. A grin curved her lips, and while she knew it could be a look-alike situation, you didn't live with someone for four years and not know how they moved. "Marvel!" She called out, maybe a little happier than she should have been that he was stuck here, too. |
