Her brow lifted in amused surprised. This American amused her—the way curse words seemed a part of basic vocabulary, the way he did seem entirely genuine... He was very personable in a comfortable way that relieved her. "I am glad," she mused with a grin in her voice about the fact that getting it on with his wife seemed a notable pleasure. She could very much say the same about... relations with her own husband. Because, while she and Will weren't rushing the baby thing, she was very well er, tapped. Not that she would say so much aloud.
"That is perfectly natural! We are all terrified. But it is not as if you are alone here... We have parenting classes, and help where we need it. Besides," she flicked her wrist casually. "I have been told most of it comes naturally, whether we expect it or not." Automatically, she reached across the small island to pat the hand nearest her. Maybe an attempt to reassure him.
Her own smile softened when he mentioned his mother. "You should have her to visit. I am sure it would please your mother to meet your new wife and to see where her son is living."
