Who: Jack & Reese What: randomly running into each other Where: Japanese Castle When: Monday night 2/29 Rating: Sushi ------------------------------- Jack was much to hungry to be in charge of deciding where he should eat. There hadn't been much time for lunch and when they did have time to grab a bite to eat this afternoon, Jack hadn't been hungry at the time. On his way home from the precinct, he found himself at Japanese Castle. His stomach had been thinking sushi, it seemed. Jack was alright with that. Who could argue that fish was tasty after all? He held the door for a couple that was on their way out and then strolled in, having locked his badge and gun in his glove box in the car.
Glancing around the restaurant casually, he took in his surroundings and noticed a familiar redhead looking over a menu by herself in a booth nearby. Jack headed that way at a slow pace, trying to make sure it was who he thought it was. When he was sure it was Reese, he strode over toward her booth.
"Excuse me, Ma'am," He said in his deep, official detective business voice. He waited a beat and then slid into the booth across from her, hoping she wouldn't send him away. The right corner of his mouth turned up a bit. "Do you have a permit to eat sushi on your own while being so beautiful?" Was it bolder than his normal? Perhaps. Jack could blame it on hunger interfering with his jesting if he needed to. For now he just smiled at his own stupid joke as he looked at he across the table. They hadn't seen each other in awhile, having had to cancel a number of their usual self-defense lesson workouts either because of Jack's work, or Reese's or just clashing schedules. He was a little struck by the realization that this thought seemed to upset him more than it probably should.
