Landon understood where Madison was coming from. She had a point and he wasn't going to be full of himself and say that he wouldn't have left had he been in that position. He could have chosen to leave or stay depending on the situation, but she was right either way: it was going to leave things awkward no matter what the decision was.
He put on a crooked smile after she assured him of his being a non-arse. Even though he heard it firsthand from her, he still couldn't help but feel that way. "Trust me, I don't always do.. that, in case you were wondering." He said, trying to redeem himself. "But I am a nice guy. Well, most of the time I suppose." He chuckled, slowly feeling better.
Landon's eyebrows shot up in amusement at her statement. It really was a bold one, and he was quite positive she wouldn't have said that a couple of years ago. The new parts of Madison were taking him by surprise in a positive way, and he was curious on what else was there to her. "Sure. We definitely should. I'm not opposed to that at all." He said with a smile.
It was also at that moment that Landon realized he really indeed didn't know Madison that well. Better late than never, perhaps their pending dinner.. date, could help him get to know her better, what makes her tick and all that. "Fair enough," he said in reply to her deal. He then sat up straight, feeling the air between them was improving. "So, when would you like dinner to happen, Miss Buchanan?"
