All Landon could do was shrug. She seemed to be taking the situation well and tons better than he was, or at least that's what it seemed like. He took a good look at her, and while she still looked like the same girl he once bonded with in the biblical sense, he could feel something different about her. Just when he was about to figure out what it was, her reply came to him like a ton of bricks tumbling on him.
"Oh. Well, that's great!" He honestly didn't know how to feel about having her as a neighbor again. On a friend level, he was glad to see her again. They still developed some friendship at one point that just.. escalated quickly into a different sense, but he had cared for her plant (it died eventually and he didn't it well) and that still meant something to him. But on a oh-hey-I-slept-with-you level, he was a bundle of emotions, mostly anxious to find out what was going to happen next. They never really talked about that incident and on Landon's end, he just swept it under the rug, hoping it would go away on its own.
"Glad to have such a lovely neighbor then." He said with a smile this time, attempting to ease the tension. What he said was the truth though. She was still lovely as ever and he can't imagine having a better neighbor that Madison. At least they already knew each other. He just hoped she wouldn't come in late at night ready to stab him for all the dumb shit he did, with the whole Ana thing and juggling two girls at once.
He quirked an eyebrow at her suggestion, surprised that she didn't stutter or the fact that she suggested getting coffee in the first place. He had thought they wouldn't be having a coffee hang out until like a month later. "Yeah, sure. I'd love to.. catch up with you. You look great by the way." He smiled, giving her another once over. "Need help putting your groceries in?"
