As he held up two hands, needing assistance, Madison laughed and jogged to the coffee table to set the crackers and water down before running back and prepping herself. She grabbed hold of his two hands and helped him up, this time was a bit easier since she had a bit more stability. "Okay," she grunted and caught him before starting to the couch. She paused for a moment, however, remembering that she wanted to give him the bed for the night. Madison let out a breath of air and tugged him toward her room.
"Don't get any ideas, Landon. I'm giving you my room for the night, that's it." She grunted as they entered her bedroom. Her room was painted a sea foam green color, the trim dark green almost black. Her bed was in the corner, covered in lots of fluffy pillows, no frame so it sat on the ground, and one large fluffy comforter. Her room was her sanctuary, honestly. Very relaxing and comfortable. Pictures of her dad and her mum were here and there, a few pieces her friend's had painted and dried flowers everywhere. It wasn't cluttered though. Just...comfortable. Madison tugged him across the wood floor and then flopped him down onto the fluffy bed.
She jogged back to the living room, grabbed the crackers and water, turned the television off and then locked her door. Just a moment later she was back in her room, sitting next to Landon, working on taking his shoes off so that he wouldn't get anything dirty. "Landon, if you feel sick, let me know okay? I'll get a bowl or the garbage or something." she called to him and smiled a little as Jax, her cat, crawled to the bed and curled up next to the boy.
And in that moment, she couldn't help but feel happy. She was pulling his shoes off, helping him take his jacket off, making sure he was comfortable and content and not throwing up. She liked it. A lot. And honestly wouldn't have minded if it happened more often.
