around Gustavia WHO: Mal and Prasad WHEN: Monday, June 3; around 11AM WHERE: Sightseeing tour of Gustavia, then elsewhere in town WHAT: Prasad gets tired of the tour and slips off. WARNING: Language
Luckily, Prasad found out he was not prone to getting seasick while on the cruise. Even so, gazing upon land as they approached their first port had him excited enough to sign up for a sightseeing tour of the town they were being let loose in.
Having never been on a tour before, Prasad hadn't expected it to be so ... organized. He'd shown up early in shorts, a t-shirt and sandals, and expected to be told where all of the cool stuff was before running off there on his own. Instead, the walking tour began with lots of history, dates, names, and other shit he couldn't care less about, as everyone was herded along in a most orderly fashion. At first, Prasad dealt with it, but after about an hour he'd had enough.
The group had stopped at a place of interest (not interesting enough for Prasad, however), and when they all started shuffling forward again, Prasad hung back pretending to be examining a small detail. When he was convinced no one would be looking back at where they'd already been, he smirked to himself, took one last look at the group, and turned around to head off in the opposite direction.
Where was he going to go? Prasad didn't know, but that was part of the fun. The beach had looked nice from what little he'd seen of it, or maybe he'd run into something more engaging. It didn't matter. He was on a free cruise, on a tropical island with nothing else to do but enjoy himself. Life couldn't be better. He'd have to remember to thank Connor for the invitation once he saw his friend next, and a million more times after that.
