On Friday, May 31st, 804 passengers and 300 crew members boarded the Mare Crisium. Bags were checked in by guests to be delivered to their room after the boarding process was complete. The line of people to get onto the ship went on and on, trickling down slowly, dwarfed only by the crowd of onlookers and well-wishers. People who wanted to catch a glimpse of the celebrities, or simply watch a very large ship leave port. Soon after boarding, everyone underwent a mandatory safety drill. It was standard procedure, and on board a Marx Legacy cruise ship, things had a tendency to be run by the book.
Day 2 Saturday, June 1st, 2013 The itinerary was a loose one, as things went. As the guests boarded the ship, they were first confronted by security (assigned room keys should be kept in a safe place, as they doubled as passenger identification and might need to be produced for crew members later). Once on the ship, they were assaulted by one of the on-board photographer for the first of many opportunities to purchase an overpriced souvenir photo. After departure, they’d have a full day of open water. For most of the guests, that meant a day of relaxation, optional activities, and general hobnobbing. After all of the boarding rigmarole, guests were encouraged to check into their accommodations and mingle on the sundeck. As destination-appropriate music was blasted over the loudspeakers, a true behemoth lurched forth into the endless blue depths of the ocean and away from shore. The Mare Crisium was on her way. [OOC Modnote: Boarding scenes can be played below, but Day 1 and 2 of the Cycle Itinerary have now been unlocked for play. Feel free to post group scenes for any of the above listed events if you want, or any other scenes you can think of (keeping the above schedules in mind for what your characters might want to do, or when they’d possibly be working). Flashback scenes (dated prior to May 31st) to establish characters are also encouraged, especially for those of you with pre-established connections. The next Plotmaster post will unveil more of the itinerary, and offer a new schedule. This is how the clock will be moved forward for this cycle.] |
